Trust of Research Center Colleagues
The greatest honor for me is the support of colleagues from the Research Center, with whom I have collaborated for years on various projects and challenges.
These people know me not only as a scientist and teacher, but also as a colleague who can listen, motivate the team and find solutions even in difficult situations. Their trust is not something I take lightly – it represents years of shared work, mutual respect, and common goals.
Years of Collaboration
During my time at the Research Center, I have had the opportunity to work on numerous projects that have shaped not only my professional career but also my understanding of what it means to be part of a research community.
We have faced challenges together – from securing funding for research projects to publishing results in prestigious international journals. We have celebrated successes and learned from failures. Most importantly, we have built relationships based on mutual trust and respect.
What This Support Means
When my colleagues from the Research Center decided to support my candidacy for rector, it was more than just a professional endorsement. It was a statement of confidence in my ability to lead, to make difficult decisions, and to represent the interests of the entire academic community.
They know my work style – collaborative, inclusive, and focused on results. They have seen how I handle pressure, how I communicate with different stakeholders, and how I balance competing priorities. Their support gives me confidence that I can bring these same qualities to the role of rector.
A Commitment to Excellence
Their trust is a commitment for me to approach leading the entire university with the same responsibility – with respect for people, with a vision for the future, and with determination to achieve common goals.
I understand that being rector means serving not just the Research Center, but the entire UNIZA community. However, the principles that have guided my work at the Research Center – transparency, collaboration, and excellence – will continue to guide me as rector.
Building on Strong Foundations
The Research Center has been a place where I have learned the importance of:
- Teamwork - No significant achievement is the result of individual effort alone
- Innovation - Constantly seeking new approaches and solutions
- Quality - Never compromising on standards and excellence
- Integrity - Maintaining ethical standards in all activities
- Communication - Keeping all stakeholders informed and engaged
These values will be the foundation of my leadership as rector. I will work to create an environment where every member of the UNIZA community can thrive, contribute, and feel valued.
Looking Forward
The support of my Research Center colleagues is not just about the past – it's about the future we want to build together. They believe, as I do, that UNIZA has the potential to become a leading university in Central Europe.
With their continued support and the support of the entire academic community, I am confident we can achieve this vision. Together, we will build a university that we can all be proud of – a university that attracts the best students and faculty, conducts world-class research, and serves as a catalyst for regional development.
This trust is both an honor and a responsibility. I will not take it lightly.
